I can't believe it has almost been a month since I last posted a blog entry. It's also hard to believe that we are less than two weeks away from Christmas Day! Wow, time flies.
Things have been busy lately in the Lambert household, especially considering that we've been able to spend the last two weekends with Shane, Justin and Morgan. God has truly blessed us by bringing them back into our lives after a period of over four months when we weren't able to see them at all. We are thankful for any time we are able to spend with them, and they've seemed pretty excited to be with us, as well.
At church, preparations are under way for our Christmas cantata on December 24th during the morning worship hour. After the cantata, we will observe the Lord's Supper. It is my prayer that this will be a very special service and a great addition to your Christmas celebrations. Please plan on being here and invite a friend (or two, or more). There will be no evening services that day.
AWANA has been going great. After a month and a half, we are averaging around 30 children every Sunday night. What a blessing it has been to see these children excited about memorizing Scripture. I believe this is a ministry that will produce much fruit in the days, months and years to come. Thank you again, church, for your continued efforts to reach people for Jesus!
I hope to blog again before Christmas, but just in case I don't let me say this: I hope everyone who reads this has a very merry Christmas and a happy new year. And thank you for reading my ramblings in 2006 (when I've remembered to write them). May God continue to bless us all in 2007!
Bro. Shane
